(United Kingdom, Tier 3)
Monday, August 24
4/8
This morning on the show we have an Oscar nominated actress turned multi - platinum recording artist Hailee Steinfeld here with us today! Everyone give it up for her!
Hailee on Passion's appeal:
I think my debut album, Passion, has very high appeal. i feel like its for all ages for one, but I aimed for it to target young adults. The issues and topics on the album are mostly written when I was in that stage of my life, so I feel like they would relate the most to it.
Hailee on her favorite Passion song:
I really do feel like my favorite Passion song changes every week! At first it was Ins and Outs, then it was Pink,, and etc! This week my favorite has to be Starving. As soon as I hear it I just want to dance. It's just so good!
Hailee on the future:
I'm so excited for the future actually, I have so many things lined up. Hailiens will have to wait for the announcements that are coming of course, but I wanted to tease them a little bit. You know, one little announcement is coming very soon. Just wait and see!
Hailee's last remarks:
My debut album "Passion" is out on all platforms now, featuring my outbreak single Love Myself! Thank you so much Jeremy Kyle, and I'll be back after this commercial break to perform Love Myself!
The stage turns towards the cameras, as the stage is a moving 360 circle. The stage is lit light lavender, as the background graphic is the Love Myself music video, which is playing at the back of the stage. The live band starts the Love Myself instrumental, as Hailee comes from behind the stage. Hailee is wearing an all white blouse and jeans, with all white shoes. Hailee vocalizes the song with grace, as this time it's only her and the band. During the bridge, she hits the huge note and the crowd goes crzy in amazement. At the end of the Love Myself performance, Hailee winks and smiles towards the camera.
"Passion", the debut album, available on all platforms now.
Featuring the outbreak smash hit, "Love Myself".

Hailee Steinfeld discusses debut effort "Passion" on Centro Suono FM 101.3
(Europe, Tier 4)
Tuesday, August 25
5/8
This morning on the radio we have an Oscar nominated actress turned multi - platinum recording artist basically overnight Hailee Steinfeld here with us today! Everyone give it up for for the talented star!
Hailee on Passion's meaning:
My debut album Passion means a couple of things. Firstly, the main meaning is me following my ambitions. I've had a lot of people try to take me off of this course or journey I've had for me, myself, and my musical career. When people hear this album, I want them to have that inspiration of anything you set your mind to, is surely possible. Another meaning is nostalgia, the sound of the album derives from a happy place, and you usually think of things of your past life when you get nostalgia.
Hailee on Passion's album cover:
It came to my head while listening to Nelly Furtado actually! I was watching the "I'm Like a Bird" music video, and I loved the scenery and vibe of the video. I wanted that for my album, because I feel like that best describes the mood of the album.
Hailee on the future:
Oh the future, actually, there's a lot to say soon.
Thank you so much Centro Suono FM 101.3!
That was just Hailee Steinfeld in the studio. Now playing on Centro Suono FM 101.3, we have "Love Myself" playing by the lovely Hailee Steinfeld! Turn it up!

- open me bitch!:
- On "Nonstop" Remix coming next Friday
It is almost here! I think everybody is going to love this new version of the song just as much as they loved the original. Or even more! The person that jumped on the track really did an incredible job and killed their verse. You'll find out who they are on Friday so just be a little more patient and you will see!
On "Nonstop" reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100
It is always insane for a song to reach such heights, no matter how many years go by or how many hits I get! I never take it for granted and I am extremely thankful for the support the song has gotten. I always say I do this for the music and my fans and not the charts. But it is obviously rewarding to see your music doing well on the charts. Anyone who says otherwise is most likely lying! However I think it is important not to obsess over things like these, because they are really volatile and, who knows, my next single could do awfully bad! Fingers crossed it does not though.
"Nonstop" Performance
For the performance, Drake wore a red NIKE tracksuit, which he paired with a black set of sunglasses, a gold chain on his neck with the "OVO" diamond letters hanging from the center of it, and a pair of NIKE Air Force Ones. After being introduced by the hosts, the audience cheered and the camera cut to a view of the darkened stage. It immediately lit up in red tones as the beat to the song started playing. Drake made his way throughout the song walking around the stage confidently yet carelessly, glancing to the camera and audience as he spit the bars. When the performance was over, Drake waved and thanked for the support while the hosts reminded everyone "Nonstop" is out now everywhere.

- open me bitch!:
- On "Nonstop Remix"
It is always fun to go back to a song and remix it, especially if someone else jumps into the song with a new verse. While I can not say who the featured artist is, you will find out on Friday and I am sure you are going to love the remix. They really brought something very cool and fresh to the song and I am more than happy with the result!
On preferring working solo or with collaborators
I always think working with different people is most fun. It is also the best way to do it, in my opinion. You know, two minds think better than one and all that. My best songs have always had a whole team behind them. Even doing collaborations is very, very fun. This year I luckily have gotten to work with some amazing artists like Victoria Monét, Gunna or the surprise guest on "Nonstop Remix". I have not only had a lot of fun with them, but also I have learned so many things from them. So I would definitely say I like working with multiple people rather than by myself, yeah!
"Nonstop" performance
After being introduced by Samantha, the audience began to cheer loudly as the camera cut to the empty stage. The beat to "Nonstop" started playing and immediately different shades of red shone down the stage. Then, from one side of the stage, Drake showed up dressed in all black, with a NIKE tracksuit and sneakers. He made his way through the first verse glancing and motioning at the camera, and then engaged with the audience more for the second half of the song. When the performance was over, Samantha joined Drake onstage to congratulate him on the song and its success, and to remind the audience that "Nonstop" is out now everywhere.

(United States, Free)
Tuesday, August 25
6/8
This morning on the show we have an Oscar nominated actress turned multi - platinum recording artist Hailee Steinfeld here with us today! Get this, she's calling into the show! Everyone give it up for her!
Hailee on Passion's sound:
Well it's a Pop album of course. However, it's not the typical Pop that everyone puts out. I hope topics on here that i went through as a young teenager that I'm sure many people that are filled with youth can relate too. That was the foundation first off. From social anxiety, love confusion, and body struggles and image, I have it all on this album.
Hailee on her favorite Passion song:
My favorite Passion sound really changes every week. I'm really serious when I say this, I've probably liked every song from Passion everry week since it's been finished and recorded. I can never stick to one thing ya know. But right now, I'll have to pick Starving. It's so addicting!
Hailee on what's next:
Hailiens have spammed my mentions on literally all my social media platforms about this. I'm not saying yet you guys! When it's time to spill, it's time to spill the beans. Until then, you will continue to hear the tease by me!
Hailee's last remarks:
My debut album "Passion" is out on all platforms now, featuring my outbreak single Love Myself! Thank you so much 103.5 Kiss FM Chicago for letting me call in!
Thank you Hailee for calling into the studio. Now playing on Kiss FM Chicago it's Love Myself by the lovely Hailee Steinfeld. Turn it up!

(United States, Free)
Wednesday, August 26
7/8
Right now on the performing stage we have the LITTY former Oscar nominee actress now a multi-platinum selling superstar basically overnight, please help me welcome Hailee Steinfeld performing Love Myself! Make some noise!
The camera turns towards the stage, which is covered in smoke. The background graphic has the Love Myself music video playing in the background, as the stage itself is lit light lavender. The band begins the Love Myself instrumental as the live audience claps. Hailee comes from behind stage, wearing an all white jumpsuit and black Doc Martens. Hailee vocalizes the first verse as the Love Myself chorus comes, Then, suddenly, her backup dancers come from behind her. Steinfeld dancers to the Love Myself track while singing and doing corresponding choreo. Once the 2nd verse comes, the performance gets slow as Hailee focuses on her vocals. Then gets fast again as the 2nd Love Myself chorus comes. During the bridge of Love Myself, Steinfeld hits the huge high note during the end of the strong. The crowd does crazy in reaction. When the Love Myself performance finishes, Hailee gives a kiss and wink towards the televising camera.

Hailee Steinfeld discusses "Passion" on Wendy Williams Show, performs Love Myself
(United States, Tier 2)
Thursday, August 27
8/8
How ya doin Hailee?? I'm such a fan of Passion, and you!:
I love you and your body shape! Most people say you're shaped like a P, but for me, that means Purrrr, which means period! As in you look good girl! You're just so iconic Wendy, and I'm so glad to be here.
Passion's meaning:
When I started writing for Passion, I just had in my mind, what all did I want to say or get off my chest for my debut. It's your introduction into the industry, and I wanted to make a lasting impression on everyone. My honesty was very important for me to get out on this album. Therefore, why not name it after what I've had for this business since I was 5? I've always had a thing for music growing up, and I get to live it in real life. Passion's meaning is to never give up on the circumstances you want, you make your own conclusion in life.
Hailee on the immediate success:
I've achieved so much in such little time both with Passion and Love Myself, and not just here in the US. And what I know, it's only the tip of the iceberg of what's to come. What shocked me is that it was on a global scale. I can only be grateful to my Hailiens all over the world, Jonny and Virgin of course, and God.
Hailee on interests:
I love to just lay around in my bed and watch Netflix. It's the best way to be a bum in my opinion, and the fact that time flies by. I swear, 10 hours can go by and I have no idea because I've watched an entire series in that time. It's crazy man.
Hailee's last remarks:
My debut album "Passion" is out now! Featuring my outbreak hit "Love Myself". After this short commercial break, I'll be performing Love Myself on The Wendy Wiliams Show! ooh Ooh!
The camera pans over to the Wendy stage, as it's suddenly lit light lavender. The stage background graphic has the Love Myself music video playing. The camera then pans to Hailee walking from out the back to the mic, as she is wearing an all black jumper with black heels. Hailee only has herself and her live band with her with no backup dancers. The first verse starts as Hailee starts vocalizing. When the first chorus begins, Hailee breaks out into choreo on the stage. The Love Myself choreo slows down as she enters the 2nd verse and chorus, as it ramps up again. When the bridge and last chorus comes, Hailee hits the huge note almost perfectly. When Hailee finishes the Love Myself performance, Hailee winks to the camera and smiles. Wendy dances and turns towards hailee, not knowing she just made a meme.
"Passion", the debut album, available on all platforms now.
Featuring the outbreak smash hit, "Love Myself".

Victoria Monet x James Corden
Friday, August 21st: James Corden Interview + PerformanceFor the first appearance of her album release week, Victoria Monet stops by James Corden for an interview and a performance of her hit single Sticky.
James: Now, to perform her #1 SMASH hit debut single, give it up for the amazing Victoria Monet!
James says this while he is holding the after the storm Vinyl album. The performance consists of Victoria doing the sticky choreography during the chorus and breaking off from her dancers for the verses.
*commercial break*
Victoria on what After The Storm is about
In one word, I would call it growth. While lots of the lyrics in this album are about love, the message of growth that I try to weave into every song on the album can be applied to anything. In songs like, ‘after the storm’, ‘piece of mind, and in the intro lotus I discuss the idea of growth. In Piece of Mind, I discuss cutting off negative energy and things in your life that weigh you down. And it may be literal things but it may also just be how you think which is why the metaphor is to cut off a piece of your own mind. Also, I tried to connect and make direct opposites to some of the more negative songs (or the ‘storm’). For example, Drew Barrymore deals with insecurity within a relationship and within yourself which directly juxtaposes After The Storm which deals with self-confidence and reminding yourself that you are powerful and enough. Sometimes it takes a negative experience (like an awful storm) to appreciate and don’t take the sunlight for granted. Sticky and Busy Boy are two sides of the same coin. Sticky deals with being stuck to someone and being unable to break away from them regardless of how detrimental it may be to you or your mental health. To directly contrast, Busy Boy discusses the idea of being able to easily keep it movin, to easily move on from someone who doesn’t make the time for you. Still Dreaming and If Only are also the same idea, one dealing with an abusive relationship and the other dealing with an idyllic one. Overall, with this album, I tried to look at life from a current perspective and from a retrospective perspective. That’s why I decided to call it After The Storm, you can learn so much about the world and yourself in the aftermath of a bad experience or a “storm” which leads back to that main idea of growth.
After The Storm, Do It, and Sticky are ALL OUT NOW!

Victoria Monet x Jimmy Kimmel
Monday, August 24th Interview + Performance US Paid Article Victoria Monet drops by Jimmel Kimmel to promote the release of her debut studio album titled After The Storm with a performance of the lead single Sticky and with an interview.
The performance begins with Jimmy introducing Victoria to the stage at the staircase where the guests stand while holding the vinyl release of her album. The camera pans from Jimmy to the audience clapping and finally, to Victoria standing with her mic in the middle of the stage. She is wearing the outfit she has on for the dawn version of the album. The performance begins with Victoria alone singing Sticky before her dancers begin to pour in for the choruses of the song. They remain with her for the rest of the performance after they enter the stage. The bridge has the dancers standing completely still as Victoria belts the bridge before breaking back into dance for the final chorus of the song. The performance finishes with Victoria blowing a kiss to the audience and Jimmy coming onto the stage to give her a hug. He reminds the audience that Sticky, the lead single, Do It, the second single and the album itself are all out now on iTunes and Flux!
*The show cuts to commercials before coming back to Jimmy introducing Victoria back to the set. She comes in, hugs Jimmy and sits back down for her interview.
Victoria on After The Storm
I am so proud of this album. I feel like this album represents such raw emotions that I felt needed to be discussed the first chance I got. I love this album as well because the experience of making it was so surreal, there were so many songs and so, sitting down after long recording sessions and fixing up the songs was so fun. It was also fun, but difficult, to choose the songs that would make it on the record, moving around the tracklist etc. It was overall an experience that I will never forget!

Victoria Monet x Good Morning America
Thursday, August 27th Performance (US Paid)
Victoria drops by Good Morning America to perform her hit #1 debut single Sticky.
Victoria begins the performance by waving at the audience and hoping that they had a good morning and if they’re ready for her performance. The audience roars as the Sticky music begins to play in the background. She only has two other dancers for this performance and the majority of the performance is done at the mic stands at the back of the stage. They stand mostly still and vibe to the music for the verses but then do small dance numbers using the mic stand for the chorus all while engaging the audience and hyping them up as well. She lets the audience sing sometimes as well. For the bridge, Victoria takes the mic off the stand and begins to slowly walk down to the catwalk to make it just in time for the chorus at the very front of the stage. Instead of doing structured choreography for the final chorus she justs vibes with the music and jumps to hype the crowd up. She finishes the performance and thanks the viewers for having her before the announcer says that Victoria’s debut album After The Storm is out now including the singles Sticky and Do It with Normani.

Victoria Monet x American Idol
Sunday, August 21st Performance (US PAID)
Victoria goes onto American Idol to perform her debut single Sticky to promote her debut studio album titled After the Storm
Victoria is wearing the outfit she wore for the Dusk Version of her album After The Storm. She is wearing a mic headset and begins the performance alone on the stage with gold lights shining upon her. She slowly walks with no music with only the sound of her heels clicking visible. She makes it to the front before the music for sticky finally begins to kick in. Just as the music begins, dancers begin to pour in from each side of the stage by the dozens. All bedazzled with similar gold outfits. They do their own choreography for the verses while Victoria walks between all of them with the camera following her as she sings. She makes it to the middle of the dancers just in time for the chorus and just as the camera begins to pan out to the entire stage, everyone on stage begins to do the iconic sticky choreography together. They are all in unison and continue this for the rest of the performance. All the dances fall to the ground with Victoria standing alone in her outfit for the end of the performance. The audience is reminded that After The Storm is out now alongside Sticky and Do It.

Bruno Mars on KIIS-FM
August 21st | US | Tier 4
1st article for week of August 21st
- Interview:
- Host: His new single “That’s What I Like” was released less than 12 hours ago, but is already making waves. Welcome to our show, Bruno Mars!
Bruno: What up L.A.!
Host: Welcome Bruno, how are you doing this morning?
Bruno: I’m pumped! Got a whole lotta energy inside me today!
Host: Expected, you’ve just made a return to the music world after God knows how many years?
Bruno: (laughs) It’s been 4! But yeah man, the adrenaline rush I get from releasing new music is just wild!
Host: It’s the way you not only released it less than 12 hours ago but a mere 24 hours ago the song wasn’t even announced yet! Why did you choose to go all secrecy!
Bruno: Man, I was just trying to pull a Beyoncé! (laughs) But seriously, I want the music to speak for itself. I’m confident in my work to not need a big hype campaign spanning a full two weeks before dropping music.
Host: The music is for sure speaking for itself! We’ve had “That’s What I Like” on repeat all of this morning. The song is pure fire!
Bruno: Ha, thanks, guys! Appreciate the love!
Host: I must say, the song has an extremely pleasant throwback vibe to it. One that I think is going to make older listeners obsessed, and introduce younger listeners to a whole new world of music.
Bruno: That’s the goal man! Making music that can unite everyone. People of any age or race. I want “That’s What I Like” to be able to be played at family BBQs, have both the 85-year-old grandpa and his 7-year-old granddaughter dancing.
Host: Right idea. The best music is always universal. You definitely have our support here at KIIS-FM. We’ve been massive fans of you in the past, and definitely plan on continuing it with your newest music!
Bruno: (laughs) Here for the love!
Host: Well, it’s been great chatting with you today. I know you’re busy and performing later tonight on James Corden.
Bruno: So happy I stopped by! And yeah, make sure to catch the world premiere performance of “That’s What I Like” tonight on Corden!
Host: We sure will! That’s Bruno Mars, everyone! His new single “That’s What I Like” is out now for purchase and streaming! But here it is playing first, on KIIS-FM!
“That’s What I Like” plays on the radio station.

Bruno Mars on The Late Late Show with James Corden
August 21st | US | Tier 2 | I+P
2nd article for week of August 21st
- Performance:
- Host: Get up close to the screen because boy do we have a treat for you! Debuting his new single “That’s What I Like” for the very first time live, give it up for Bruno Mars!
The camera flips from James onto the performance stage. On stage, there is a big white screen with Bruno Mars’ name written in big bold black letters. Smoke fills the floor of the stage, where three men lined up in a triangle are standing behind a microphone with their backs turned from the audience. All three men turn around, and Bruno is revealed to be standing in front. As the opening three counts to the song play, Bruno and the men all bend their knees on beat. For the first verse of the song, Bruno and the two other men simply stand behind their microphones doing some leg and arm movement. The two men provide ad-libs and background vocals to Bruno’s singing. The chorus has the men still behind the microphones but doing more fluid dancing, including some air-humping. Near the end of the performance, Bruno and the men are now at the front of the stage, doing slick footwork, as Bruno continues to belt out the final chorus. The performance ends and the camera returns to James amongst the audience.
Host: Bruno Mars everyone! Don’t go anywhere, as when we return I’ll be sitting down with Bruno for an interview!
- Interview:
- Host: Welcome back to the show, and ladies and gentlemen, Bruno Mars is still here!
Audience cheers.
Bruno: Thank you. Thank you.
Host: That was such an incredible performance.
Bruno: It was incredible for me too, man!
Host: It’s been what, 2 years since your last performance?
Bruno: Actually 4!
Host: Wow, I didn’t realize it has been that long!
Bruno: Yeah, it’s crazy man. I forgot how everything is. Rehearsals, performances, interviews.
Host: I’m sure you’ll get back into the hang of it.
Bruno: For sure. It’s not my first time leaving the music scene then coming back. It’s like riding a bike. You never truly forget how. You know what I’m saying?
Host: I get it. But why do you choose to disappear for so long? It seems like these days artists are pushing out more and more music yearly, while you’re doing the complete opposite.
Bruno: I need to get in the right headspace. For me personally, I find it extremely challenging to get my creative juices flowing if I’m busy performing or promoting. For my best work to come, I need to take it back a notch. No tours, no promo rounds, no partying.
Host: No partying, huh? I’m not sure I can believe you on that one!
Bruno: (laughs) Dawg, I’m in my 30s now! I feel like an old man.
Host: Well, you sure don’t dance like one. Nor does your music sound like it’s being sung by one. Speaking of which, congrats on the release of “That’s What I Like”.
Bruno: Ah, you like the song man?!
Host: I love it! It gives me immense nostalgia for my days of youth in the 90s!
Bruno: (laughs) Happy to hear you like it!
Host: I’m guessing the 90s nostalgia was on purpose?
Bruno: Man, for sure! I loved the 90s. Just like you, I grew up on that era of music. That’s when the best music was made in my opinion. So, I’m trying to simulate that 90s nostalgia, while adding elements from now.
Host: Perfect! That’s exactly what I’m trying to hear! Can we expect your album to follow that sound? Is your album even done?
Bruno: Chill dude! Who said anything about an album! (laughs) But my album is done. It has been some for quite some time. All imma say for now is, “That’s What I Like” is a trailer for my album. Let me tease y’all with that! (laughs)
Host: Bruno, always teasing! Well, it’s been great having you. Once again, love the song and I’m wishing you nothing but success and happiness!
Bruno: Thanks for having me, man!
Host: Ladies and gentlemen, Bruno Mars! His brand new single “That’s What I Like” is out everywhere right now! Give it up!

Bruno Mars on The Masked Singer
August 22nd | US | Free Promo
3rd article for week of August 21st
- Performance:
- Host: Here for a very special performance, it’s our latest contestant… THE MONSTERRRR!!
Gold and red lights shine all over the stage as the opening instrumental plays. The Monster, in its big costume, begins to sing “That’s What I Like”. While singing the first verse, the Monster is slightly swaying side to side. At the chorus of the song, the Monster’s dance moves become more prominent. The camera turns to the judges of the show who are all in awe of the Monster’s singing ability. For the second verse of the song, background dancers in similar monster costumes come on stage and join the Monster in its routine. The second chorus hits, and everyone in the audience is going crazy. At the bridge of the song, a spotlight shines on the Monster as they flawlessly sing. Suddenly, the Monster turns around and a looping instrumental plays. Slowly, the Monster takes off the head of the costume. Right as they turn around, the final chorus kicks in. It is revealed that the Monster is Bruno Mars! Both the audience and hosts are in shock, and one of the female hosts even fake faints. Bruno advances to the front of the stage, still wearing the monster costume on his bottom half. He ends the song belting the final lyrics. The crowd goes wild and everyone gives him a standing ovation. The host walks back on stage next to Bruno.
Host: You never know who might just pop up on The Masked Singer! That was an amazing surprise performance by Bruno Mars! While he might not be a contestant, he sure is a star! His brand new single “That’s What I Like” is available everywhere now! Another round of applause for Bruno, everyone!

N: Well I had been a bit stressed with the constant promoting and the working on my album, the performances, the being in the media and it all got a bit too much for me. But I took a short break and now I feel rejuvenated
H: That's good to hear. So, Bridges was a single that was perfectly chosen, as it went all the way up to #3 on the Billboard Charts and is almost 3x Platinum eligible
N: Insane, wow!
Host: I have heard that at first you didnt think Link Up was single material, right?
N: No, we first had other ideas, but I loved the song too much and I wanted to give it the attention it deserves and it ended up bigger than I expected... than we all expected if I'm being completely honest!
H: Amazing! Anyway, enough about the previous single, you've came with a new single called Do It, which is actually a song with Victoria Monét from her newest album After The Storm.
n: Yess! I love this song SO much, one of my faves from her album!
Host: Tell us more about the song!
N: It is just a fun, laid back banger
H: I love how both your voices mesh together
N: Thank you!
H: Anyway, we're out of time because I think it is time for you to actually perform the song for US!
Performance
The performance consists of Normani and two other female dancers dressed in skimpy outfits on the stage busting out quirky dance moves, as Normani sings the infectious tune.

August 21st | US | Paid Promo | 2nd Normani Article
- Performance + Interview:
The camera pans to the stage where Normani’s silhouette is seen standing in the middle with a man behind her. The stage is pretty dimly lit with a candlelit effect on the edge of the stage. As the instrumental for Do It begins to play the spotlight begins to slowly turn on as Normani sings the intro into her headset mic. During that the guy then grabs her by the hand to get in formation to start the performance. As she begins to sing the first verse they begin to do a ballroom routine. They’re chest to chest with one side of their arms pointed outward as they step in one direction and then turn and do the same in the opposite direction. Towards the end of the verse the man twirls her before letting go of her hand. As she sings the pre-chorus she throws her arms up as he goes behind her and lifts her up in the air with her back on his hands as he spins her around while she sings the chorus. Halfway through the chorus he puts her back down and twirls her again. During the post-chorus he twirls her outward with their hands staying locked before twirling her back inward. For the second verse they repeat the same movements as the first before getting into the pre-chorus. During this pre-chorus this time the guy spins Normani on the floor before pulling her back up, which made the audience gag because they didn’t expect that from them. During the final chorus they do a simple routine so Normani could focus on belting out ad libs until the end of the performance where he dips her before striking a pose.
Interview
J: Wow that was a great performance
N: I am glad you like it, me and my dancer really had fun rehearsing it for your show
J: Too bad that Victoria could not join you to perform Do It with her.
N: Yeah it is too bad but she is so busy promoting her album, which is amazing by the way, so I can understand. She is such a hardworking girl

Interview + Performance on The Graham Norton Show (UK)
August 21st, 2020
Tier 2
Graham: Our musical guest tonight is a chart topping superstar selling over 9 million singles worldwide, here performing his multi-platinum debut single ‘MY MY MY!’, Shawn Mendes!
The crowd cheers and the camera pans to the stage where Shawn is stood with his band. He is wearing a black shirt over a white tank top with a gold necklace, and he’s standing at the mic. As he sings unseen visuals are played in the background, showing black and white shots of Shawn lying on the ground with the rain coming down on him. The lights flash throughout the final chorus.
Shawn finishes the performance and is welcome onto the sofa by Graham and greets the other guests, he waves to the crowd.
Graham: Amazing performance! It’s been 3 months since ‘MY MY MY!’ dropped right? When will we get the next single?
Shawn: Well people can’t seem to get enough of my my my still, but I can confirm my next single is coming on September 25th! I can’t wait for everyone to hear it, it’s quite different from the current single but I think the fans will love it.
Graham: So now that you’ve officially hit number 1 in the States, are you aiming for the same here? It’s already double platinum!
Shawn: I know that is crazy, a number one never hurts! Hopefully all my British fans can do it for me *laughs* I’ve only been in the UK for a week or two but the fans here are next level, they are so passionate! It makes me so excited to tour this album.
Graham: Speaking of albums, when can we expect one from you?
Shawn: I actually just officially finished the album. I thought I had it all done months ago, but I had a sudden change of mind and revised a lot of the record. I am so proud of it, but I can’t tell you when it’s coming! Hopefully in the next few months.

August 23rd | US | Paid Promo | 3rd Normani Article
- Performance:
- The camera pans to the stage to reveal the stage. The stage is set up like a trap house with neon pink lighting. On one side of the stage is a couch and coffee table and the other side there is a mini kitchen. As the instrumental for Do It plays Normani and some dancers slowly strut onto the stage and sit down on the couch. Normani then begins to sing the first verse. During the first verse she sassily sings the lyrics while interacting with her dancers. When it comes time for the pre-chorus they hop off of the couch and make their way towards the middle of the stage. They sway around a little before getting into the chorus. During the chorus Normani sings while doing a watered down version of the choreography the dancers were doing. Then for the second verse one of the dancers gets on all fours and Normani sits on them as the camera zooms into her. She sassily recites the beginning of the verse before the pre-chorus. During the final chorus Ariana lets the backing track sing for her as she joins the dancers for the full blown choreography before ending the performance with some ad libs as the instrumental and lights fade out.

Bruno Mars on BBC Radio 2
August 24th | UK | Tier 4
4th article for week of August 21st
- Interview:
- Host: Telephoning in right now to the station, it’s Bruno Mars!
Bruno: Hello London!
Host: Bruno, before we even start I have to say, I’m obsessed with “That’s What I Like”! Can there even be a more perfect song?
Bruno: (laughs) Thanks, I try!
Host: It’s just so addicting! The lyrics and melody are like catnip! Was it your intention for the song to be like that?
Bruno: Oh, for sure dude! I wanted to create a song that could be an instant obsession to anyone that hears it. Something that has a universal sound.
Host: You sure did exactly that! So you’re telling me you just walked into the studio and thought ‘I’m going to make the biggest hit of the year’.
Bruno: (chuckles) Not exactly like that! I'm a writer, so I know how to shift my writing gears for certain songs. For instance, if I wanted to make a love ballad, I would use a lot of sweet metaphors and what not. But for “That’s What I Like”, the intention was always to make a feel good song.
Host: It is impressive that you know so much about songwriting…
Bruno: It has always been something very special to me. My outlet to the world. I take pride in having my fans know that everything I sing comes from me.
Host: Yeah, be prideful of that! Not every artist can do the same! Now, your last song was “Uptown Funk”, all the way back in 2014…
Bruno: Yeah man, it’s been some time!
Host: You were extremely radio silent in the time since then. Were you keeping up with the music industry during that time?
Bruno: A bit. I would listen to new releases, but for the most part, I was in my own bubble.
Host: So now that you’re back, what has been the biggest change to the music industry that you’ve seen?
Bruno: Definitely hip-hops domination! I remember in 2014, pop ruled everything. You look at the charts, all surface level pop. Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor. Now I don’t have anything against those lovely ladies, but it was almost as if only pop was allowed to shine. I even remember my label being hesitant towards “Uptown Funk” since it had heavy old-school funk influences.
Host: Boy has it changed since then.
Bruno: Man, tell me about it! Just the other day, I checked the charts here in the US, and 3 pure rap songs were having a monopoly on the top 3. That’s amazing! I’m a huge fan of rap, so I’m happy it’s finally the mainstream genre after being ostracized or deemed improper for years!
Host: Wow, I didn’t even think about how accepted rap is now. Has the genre shift on the charts impacted you?
Bruno: Definitely. I’ve always been a huge fan of R&B. Boyz II Men, R. Kelly, all those guys basically raised me. As I said before, in the past I was told to do more pop records, now it’s completely different. When I presented my label “That’s What I Like”, a total throwback R&B song, I was kinda nervous for their reaction because of past experiences, but they loved it! Now all the music I’ve worked on for this era is true to my inner sound!
Host: Well, we are glad you were able to release it! Can’t even imagine a life without “That’s What I Like” now!
Bruno: (laughs)
Host: Anyways, thank you so much for calling in today Bruno.
Bruno: Aye, I had a great time talking to ya!
Host: Before you go, would you mind introducing your single to our audience?
Bruno: Bet! What’s up, it’s your favourite Hooligan, Bruno Mars, you’re listening to BBC Radio 2, and this is my new single “That’s What I Like”!
“That’s What I Like” plays on the station.

- Performance + Interview:
- J: Hey Normani how are you doing
N: I am doing great James, thanks so much for asking
J: You have bee awfully quit over the past month. You seemingly went from promoting your debut single everywhere to complete radio silence until you finally dropped this new single with Victoria Monét here, which by the way is an absolute jam. What happened?
N: Well the main reason why I chose to kind of lay low this month was because I felt like my promo schedule was becoming to hectic and I was not even getting enough time to focus on the main reason that I do all of this, creating the music. So even though it displeased my label I decided to make the executive decision to focus on myself and my music. Of course there were some label politics involved, like my management not liking how my second single Warning was performing but oh well, let us not ponder on those things
J: Does it ever upset you if a song does not do as well as you had hoped?
N: Well to a certain extent. If a song is successful to me it just means a lot of people could connect to it. If it is not successful it does not mean the music is not good, but as an artist like me who is just starting out success does kind of determine whether or not my label is going to give me massive budgets for future products or not so I do worry a little bit.
J: Well Normani, thank you for chatting with me but that is enough talk for today. Now we want you to do what you do best: Perform
Performance
The performance is acoustic and stripped down. It features Normani and a guitarist sitting at the edge of the stage. The guitarist plays the melody of the Do It instrumental as Normani sings it

- Interview:
- I: Hi
N: Hi
I: I was absolutely shocked when Victoria's album dropped last Friday, I looked at the credits and boom you where right there. Not only did you guys collab on a total banger of a track called "Do It", but you also co-wrote a song called "Busy Boy" on the album. How did these collaborations come about?
N: Well me and Victoria linked up through mutual friends and then we just really got along well and became great friends and at some point we talked about doing some writing together so she invited me a studio session with her and Steve Lacy. What I did not know tho about the studio session was that Scott motherf*cking Storch would be there too. He is an absolute legend and he defined my teen years so to be able to work with him was just a dream. I will admit at first it was a bit awkward because I have so much respect for Scott just because of how he shaped an entire decade with his production and so I was a bit starstruck and kind of intimidated but Victoria and Steve had so many ideas that they were just churning out that I got a bit infected by their creativeness and loosened up. After that me and Vic had a quite a few more sessions together, some with Scott & Steve, some without and the main thing that we wanted to do was just have fun. I think for artists, females in particular, it is sometimes hard to just let loose and have fun because people have so high expectations of you and there is this common misconception that music that is simply just fun is always cheap or generic.
I: You said you and Victoria had lots more writing sessions. Did you spend all of them writing these two songs?
N: Well no, there are some tracks that did not make the cut and maybe a track or two that you might see in the faaaaaar faaaaar future

- Interview + Performance:
- The performance begins with the camera zoomed into Normani's face as the instrumental for Do It begins to play and she starts ad libbing alongside the instrumental. The camera then slowly pulls away from her to show her from the hips up to reveal her sitting. Ariana then begins to sing the first verse while looking straight into the camera. During the verse you can see dancers in the background doing her make up and brushing her hair. When it comes time for the pre-chorus the camera pulls out to show the full stage as Normani gets up and starts strutting around the stage. Then during the chorus the dancers and Normani switch it up and begin to milly rock. During the second verse the dancers become more promiscuous. While Normani is singing all of the dancers do a split and then get back up and twerk around the stage. Then during the pre-chorus Normani squats down as the camera zooms into her face. She then seductively sings the lyrics as the camera zooms back out before the chorus. As it zooms outa it reveals all the dancers lined up in front of Normani, twerking. She touches on them as if she’s in a strip club as she sings the final hook.
E: That was Normani performing her collaboration "Do It" with Victoria Monét. I am not sure how much of that we will have to blur out for the TV audiences but I loved it
N: Thank you. And I am sorry for all the extra work I am going to cause your editing team.
E: Don't sweat it. The money we are going to generate just based off of the controversy will be like 10 times their normal salaries
N: Well if you put it that way then I will be waiting for my check
*both are completely silent for a few seconds and put on serious faces before bursting into laughter*

Interview on BBC Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw (UK)
August 24th, 2020
Tier 2
Nick: In the studio with us right now it’s Shawn Mendes! Welcome back!
Shawn: Thank you it’s nice to be here again! Every time I come to London I love listening to your show in the mornings!
Nick: Well we love having you here! Since we last saw you ‘MY MY MY!’ has gone double platinum here in the UK and sold millions more around the world, did you ever expect it to be this big?
Shawn: Well it’s always something you hope for, when we were deciding on the first single we knew it had to be this track straight away. Everyone keeps telling me how catchy it is and that they can’t get it out of their heads *laughs*. I almost feel guilty but I guess that’s just what great pop songs do!
Nick: So here in the Radio 1 office last week there were, to put it lightly, some meltdowns over your brand new Calvin Klein campaign. That body!
Shawn: Oh really? *laughs* Yeah my twitter feed and instagram were literally on fire when that dropped.
Nick: Congratulations on the campaign! How was it shooting that?
Shawn: You know I was crazy nervous for it, almost to the point where I wanted to pull out of the shoot. Posing in your underwear is not something you do every day! But actually the crew made it such a fun and comfortable experience, I have more shoots coming since I’m the face of the brand now so I’ll have to get used to it!
